bei der Installation wird erneut ein Schema-Update ausgeführt.. Selbstverständlich kannst Du dies auch mit den Befehlen
setup.exe /PrepareSchema /IAcceptExchangeServerLicenseTerms
&
setup.exe /PrepareAD /IAcceptExchangeServerLicenseTerms
im voraus ausführen!

Hallo,
falsch machen tut Ihr da sicher nichts. Bei mir schlug die Update-Installation fehl weil das UM-Pack noch installiert war. Ich habe allerdings Exchange 2013 DE auf einem Deutschen Server-Betriebssystem installiert. Installiert Ihr Exchange auf einem Englischem Server so wird die Update-Installation vermutlich ohne Komplikationen von statten gehen, da immer nur zusätzliche Sprachen (de-DE, fr-FR, usw…) entfernet werden müssen. en-EN kann niemals entfernet werden!
Die UM-Pakete werden für die MBX-Rolle benötigt um UM-Optionen in der jeweiligen Sprache zu bieten. Eine Abwahl der Rolle zur Installation, wie noch unter 2010, ist halt nicht mehr möglich.
Zudem muss das UM-Paket immer zur CU Version passen.

die Frage stelle ich mir auch. Bevor ich etwas falsch mache, würde es mich interessieren, ob die die Sprachpakete tatsächlich vorher deinstalliert werden müssen, um sie später erneut zu installieren?

Ich habe mal CU7 installiert, dabei habe ich keine Sprachpakete extra deinstalliert / installiert.
